of Merit Software programs bundled together,
selected to target reading, vocabulary, grammar, and listening and
speaking skills. The complete series contains a wide variety of
teaching activities that have been proven effective in
increasing students’ English
language proficiency.
Content
is relevant to real-life situations. Topics
include civics, government, health, transportation, American culture,
history, and technology.
The
software is self-paced and self-correcting.
Students advance as they demonstrate readiness.
Scores are tracked in a record
management system that allows teachers to view and print detailed
reports.
The
questions, answers and explanations for most of the programs can be spoken
aloud by using the Merit Text Talker.
The ESL Advanced Skills Pack is comprised of the following two
curriculum components: Reading / Vocabulary and Writing / Grammar
- Personalized help and feedback engage
students of all ages.
- Students choose from a menu of reward
animations and sounds.
- All student work is stored in the
Teacher Program Manager.
- Contents can be spoken aloud by using

REQUIREMENTS:
Merit
Software programs are Windows 32-bit applications that install and run
on Novell, Citrix, Windows 2000, Windows 2003, Windows XP, Windows
Vista and Windows 7. They require 500 MB usuable hard disk space and a
minimum screen resolution of 800 by 600 pixels.
** Windows Vista or
Windows 7 users may need to use Microsoft's compatibility wizard.
