Preschoolers will explore the
world
of learning!
PRODUCT INFORMATION
Learn
and laugh with Pooh and Mickey! Disney Learning Preschool, featuring
Mickey Mouse and Winnie-the-Pooh, is an early learning tool that
enables children ages 2-4 to learn age-appropriate skills with their
favorite Disney characters. A special bonus CD-ROM is also included.
The Stanley: Wild for Sharks CD-ROM game allows children to relive one
of their favorite Playhouse Disney television shows by allowing them to
immerse themselves in Stanley’s underwater animal-filled world!
Throughout this underwater adventure, kids will face kid-sized issues,
learn life lessons (environmental awareness, social and emotional
issues, and many more), and pick up lots of interesting shark facts
along the way!
Different children have varying abilities at different ages. In
addition, a particular child's development can change radically in a
short time. Disney's Learning Series dynamically and intuitively
adjusts to the abilities of the child playing the game so that it is
fun and not frustrating for the child at the lower age range, and still
as fun, yet challenging, for the older child. The program makes
adjustments automatically, without the child being aware that they are
playing at a specific level. The goal is to have children playing at
the level that presents challenges best suited for their abilities.

Disney's Winnie the Pooh
Preschool
Pooh is holding a special birthday
celebration for Eeyore! Journey through the 100 Acre Wood and
round up Tigger, Piglet and friends to join the party. Along the
way, gain key learning skills including letter and number recognition,
phonics, sequencing and more. And to make the occasion even more
splendiferious, Christopher Robin has a special friendship celebration
planned!
Activities:
- Making Alphabet Soup - Children help
Kanga and Roo make alphabet soup and, in the process, learn to identify
both upper and lower case letters. They also practice identifying
beginning sounds.
- Rabbit's Canning Encounter - Rabbit
needs the player's help to identify the correct label number to adhere
to each of his canned vegetable and fruit jars. Rabbit also needs help
counting and sorting items into sets for canning. The counting can
start too hard too soon.
- Tigger's Popcorn Calliope - Tigger has
invented a Magical Musical Machine, but still needs to put in the
special parts that help create the sound. Kids help Tigger sort by
sound to find the missing parts of the machine. When the machine is
fixed, Tigger will be able to play a song at Eeyore's birthday (or
unbirthday) party.
- Owl's Family Tree - Pooh finds Owl in
the middle of sorting his family's photos. Players help Owl finish the
sorting by identifying attributes that belong to a specific family of
owls. Even on the easiest level, this activity may be a little
challenging for preschool-sorters.
- Pooh's Dream - If kids go to Pooh's
house, he will decide he needs to take a nap. While sleeping, kids help
order the stories in his dreams. These dreams are represented in
clouds. Each story is incomplete, and children need to select the cloud
with the correct image to complete the story.
- Piglet's Pictures - Pooh and the player
find Piglet in the midst of creating some art masterpieces. Piglet asks
the player to use his little pictures to fill in his big pictures for
Eeyore. Children must match the color and placement of that color on a
canvas. At the harder levels, children will have to figure out how to
mix a new color from two other colors. Again, here is an activity that
is not appropriate for most preschoolers; so don't push the upper
levels of this activity.
