Join Blaster and GC on a mission to find lost treasure!
PRODUCT INFORMATION
The hunt takes you and the Blaster pals to the beautiful Aquatic Moon, a
brightly colored underwater world filled with friendly fish and sea
creatures. The plucky inhabitants will guide you, along with GC and
Blaster, on a fun, lively reading adventure to the mysterious lost treasure!
For every round that you complete, you will earn a star. As you collect
stars Sea Friends will appear in the star window in the Orca Sub. You must
earn a total of five stars in order to enter the maze to find the treasure
chest. There are five levels of content and game play difficulty in
Reading Blaster Ages 506. You will be bumped up a level automatically
after you have mastered all of the previous level. | | |
ACTIVITIES INCLUDES:
Skill-Based Activities
- Letter Dive - Help Blaster find the letters in the proper sequence
and win a star! Vacuum up the letter bubbles that match the order displayed
on Mel. Be quick to click on the matching letter bubbles. They
will pop and disappear if they reach the surface of the water!
- Hidden Pictures - Uncover the picture beneath the sand and win a
star! Children will select from the icons provides and then click on
all the pictures in that category, e.g., animals, fruit, clothing.
Each correct grouping causes the sand to drift away, revealing more of the
picture. Complete the puzzle to see all of the hidden picture.
- Sand Dollar Matching - Help Blaster and GC match the sand dollars.
Hidden beneath the sand dollars are letters, words, pictures, and phonic
sounds. Listen to the instructions, then click on a sand dollar to
hear or see what is revealed. Click on another sand dollar and try to match
it. Each correctly matched pair will wash away, while incorrect matches will
flip back over.
- Sea Horse Race - You’re off to the races! Choose your player by
clicking on Blaster or GC. The horses will line up at the starting line.
Follow the announcer’s prompts. Find the same or different shapes or
letters to make your sea horse swim faster.
- Clamshell Scramble - Unscramble the letters or words in the
clamshells to spell a word or make a sentence. Click on the letter or word
in the shell and drag it to the correct space on the lines below. Be
careful, as misplaced letters will jump back into the shell.
- Treasure Maze - Reward Activity - Collect five stars from any of
the activities and you’re off on the treasure hunt! Use the arrow
keys to navigate through the maze. When you find a door, click a fish with
the matching color, and it will give you a ride on its back through the
door.
- B-Mail - When your B-Mail signal is on, it means you’ve gotten a B-Mail
from a friend somewhere in the galaxy. Click the mailbox in the Treasure
Room to read your mail and send a B-Mail to one of your new pals!
- Story Corner - Click the title of the book you want to read. You can print
out the books to make your own story collection.
- Word Cards - Choose a level and then print out the word cards.
Here are some ideas
on how you and your child can use them:
- Make a word book and draw a picture to go with each word card.
- Find all the words that begin with the same letter as your child’s
name.
- Help your child make silly sentences with the words.
- Say a letter or a letter’s sound, and then ask your child to find
all the words that begin with that letter or sound.
- Play word bingo.
- Read a card aloud. Ask your child to find or think of a rhyming word.
- Print two sets of cards and play a memory and concentration game or a
matching game.
- Poster Collection - See and print your impressive collection of
posters.
